Providing Relief Support to IDPs

The Diocese as mentioned before is geographically located in Nadiangere Payam under Yambio County, Western Equatoria State. Unfortunately due to the insecurity in that area, all our faithful Christians have taken refuge to Yambio and are living there as Internally Displaced persons (IDPs) adding to the number of those that fleed from Tambura and Nagero Counties. In total we area support over 900 IDP Households

With support from well-wishers  the Diocese, has been providing relief support to the IDPs in form of food Items (Beans, Maize, Salt and cooking oil) and None food items such as blankets, Soap, Bed sheets Taplines and mats

In addition  to that, we have also been conducting trauma healing sessions, counseling sessions, awareness on peace and reconciliation and and engaging them in livelihood skills trainings.

The objective of this support is to ensure that much as they are IDPs, they should be left behind so that when the situation changes, they will not start from square one completely.

We are still in need of more support for our IDPs and here by place our request to any well-wisher for more support in form of food items and none food items and also Support for Education and Health

Distribution of Relief items

Supported by well wishers, yesterday 24th/April/2026 We were able to support internally displace people from Nadiangere living with the host communities in Saura and Yambio in Western Equatoria State, South Sudan with distribution of relief items that included items such as; mats, soap, bed sheets, salt, Jerry cans and a sorted food items.

In total we supported over 250 IDPs among which 170 were women and 80 were men. 

Much appreciation to the well wishers who decided that from the little they have, they will support their brothers and sisters living as IDPs.

We still appeal for more support who ever feels concern about the lives and future of the IDPs especially in regards to education, health and WASH facilities and trainings in livelihood skills, so that they can be able to fend for them selves.
